Later Fazle Karim Chowdhury along with five leaders went to the office of Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman and submitted the nomination papers to him. According to Election Commission's National Parliament Election Conduct Rules, no procession or showdown can be held during the filing of nomination papers.
